Description
18"l (46 cm). Of wood with gesso and painted finish, the luxury candy box is shaped as a Cinderella coach with aged-patina green finish, gilt edging, painted medallions in the Rococo manner, four spoked turning wheels, velvet covered driver's seat. The lid removes for access to the candy box interior that is decorated with gilded walls and red velvet seats. Excellent condition. The rare candy box was created for an exclusive Parisian confiserie, circa 1890,possibly the famous candy store of Marquise de Sevigne.
