2"h pot (5 cm). Included is a cardboard cooking
pot with brass-colored finish and long handle,its
cover a blue draped silk with surmounted head of
bearded man (symbolism unknown),the lid removing
for use as candy box; brown painted water cooler
with silver spigot,whose lid removes for use as
candy box; cardboard hat box with shaped top and
decoration,with miniature doll hat inside; and
cardboard washstand with stenciled detail of
carving,and silver spigot and bowl,whose base
removed for use as candy box. Germany or
France,circa 1890,an imaginative and wonderfully
preserved group of candy boxes.
