Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape, large blue glass side-glancing googly sleep eyes, painted lashes, short stroke feathered brows, pug nose, closed mouth with accent line between the smiling lips, dimpled cheeks, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body with shorter upper legs, antique sailor costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: G.B. 253 Germany A 3/0 M. Comments: Marseille, for George Borgfeldt, circa 1915. Value Points: most appealing impish yet shy expression, well detailed sculpting, choice bisque.
