6" (15 cm). Heavy board box with rounded corners is lavishly covered and lined with coral silk, the cover with richly folded silk edging a velvet plush diamond that is trimmed with gilt and silver ormolu and gilt ring handle, with matching clasp and tiny gilt ball feet. Excellent condition. French, circa 1890.
