A metal platform with three spoked wheels is painted forest green to simulate a grassy field, and upon the platform is posed a bisque-headed woman with blue glass inset eyes, bisque shoulderplate, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, paper mache torso and legs, wire upper arms, bisque forearms, along with a metal framed swing trimmed with cherry blossoms and leaves and supporting an all-bisque doll with swivel head, blue glass eyes, closed mouth, jointed limbs. Condition: generally excellent. When wound, the platform moves forward, then in circular motion, the lady turns her head and raises and lowers her right arm ,and the swing moves back and forth. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Vichy et Fils, circa 1880. Value Points: very rare mechanical toy is wonderfully preserved with superb original condition of elaborate silk costume, amusing action.
