Description
6" x 6" (15 x 15 cm). A firm-sided box is richly covered in ivory and rose silk with gathered folds on the lid overlaid with a spray of silk violets, silk-covered ball feet, cord-wrapped silk- covered handles, and gilded lock and key that actually work; the interior is paper lined with paper lace edging. Excellent condition. French, circa 1890.
