with flat-cut neck socket on matching
shoulderplate,black glass enamel inset
eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,muslin upper
torso,paper mache lower torso,paper mache arms
and jointed ankle feet. Condition: very
good,slight retouch at seam lines of head under
bonnet. Comments: Germany,the taufling baby was
inspired by Japanese Ichimatsu baby exhibited at
the 1850 London Exhibition. Value Points: very
endearing expression on the plump-faced child
