Description

25" (63 cm). Pink tinted porcelain shoulderhead with cameo shaped face, elongated throat, brown hair drawn away from with stippled detail around the forehead, softly formed chignon at side of head and rolled braid at the back, with curls tumbling onto the nape of neck, and a colorful spray of morning glories tucked behind her ears on each side of head. The doll has pale blue painted eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented eye corners, circle-shaped nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, muslin stitch-jointed body,(new) porcelain limbs, exquisite antique muslin fashion gown. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Schlaggenwald, circa 1850. Value Points: very rare porcelain lady doll with superb detailing of hair and decorations, finest complexion and painting.
