Pressed bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, mauve blushed eyeshadow, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with plump limbs, straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, some body retouch. Marks: 11 (head, and artist checkmarks). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1880. Value Points: gorgeous large bebe with appealing rounded modeling of cheeks and chin, finest quality of bisque, very fine antique lace dress that appears to be Jumeau original, matching lace and silk bonnet, undergarments, rose silk shoes labeled "Marque Depose" with stamp of hot air balloon, and carrying candy box with pansy design, gilt paper borders, and mirrored interior.
