11" (28 cm). A bisque-shoulderhead doll with blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth with row of teeth, curly mohair wig, is attached to a ball-shaped musical torso that is attached to a carved bone handle; when twirled the doll revolves and music is heard. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3200 A 12/0 M. Comments: for the French market, circa 1890. Value Points: the late 19th century party toy is virtually unplayed with, wearing original aqua silk costume with lace and feather trim, metallic gold edging, and gold bells.
