Bisque socket head, dark blue glass sleep eyes that operate from wire lever at back of head, painted lashes with "dot" highlights, rose blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully jointed body with jointed wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 3 (head) Le Petit Parisien (body stamp) Steiner 3 Bte SGDG (incised mark on eyes). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885. Value Points: rarer model with original Steiner sleeping eye mechanism, signed eyes, original signed body and body finish, lovely antique costume includes signed French shoes, original Steiner undergarments.
