Description
18" (46 cm). Poured wax rose-tinted shoulderhead, blue glass inset eyes with heavily modeled eyelids, tinted brows, lightly accented nostrils, rose shaded lips of closed mouth, soft mohair inserted into scalp in delicate tendrils, softly stuffed body, poured wax lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, circa 1880. Value Points: in pristine unplayed with condition, the doll wears her original ivory satin dress, beautifully embroidered undergarments, lace cap, knit stockings, and is preserved in her original packing box labeled "Hamley's European Toy Warehouse,200 & 202 Regent Street, London W. Toys, Games and Dolls".
