Description
18" (46 cm.) Hard composition or earthenware socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, brunette mohair bobbed wig, firmly-stuffed muslin body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: AHS (in heart). Comments: Albin Hess, Germany, circa 1930. Value Points: perfectly preserved condition, the doll is wearing its original well-detailed folklore child's costume of brown woolen shorts and jacket, green felt trim and suspenders, scalloped edge stockings, leather shoes and green woven hat with feathers.
