Description
Clear glass standing figure of Charlie Chaplin with rounded derby hat, baggy brown pants, black fitted jacket, white shirt, red tie, standing on opaque glass base, attached to ribbed barrel with wood-grained metal screw lid having coin slot. Marked "Charlie Chaplin" and "Serial No-2862-Net Wt. 1 oz" and "Geo. Borgfeldt & Co., New York" and "Patent Applied For". The figure was patented November 9,1915 as #48,131 and was advertised in the 1916 wholesale catalog of Butler Bros. A smaller version of #61. 3 7/8"H.
