3" (8 cm.) Three various baskets are each filled with polychromed terra cotta vegetables and fruits. The accessory pieces such as foods were considered important elements in creating the "theatre" of the Neapolitan scene, and were created with great attention to artistry in the same studios as those creating the people figures. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
