9"l (23 cm). Cast iron bank with green painted base upon which is posed an organ grinder with red, yellow and brown painted costume, and a similarly costumed monkey. When coin inserted in monkey's mouth and lever released the monkey leaps forward and inserts the coin into the organ. Raised lettering "Monkey Bank". Original finish well preserved, the monkey has been re-attached to pole, and replacement of lower spring. American, Hubley, circa 1920.
