Description
13" x 17" box (33 x 43 cm). Wooden presentation box with decorative paper cover labeled "Loterie Parisienne" in gilt, hinges open to reveal elaborately fitted interior, comprising mirrored paper back with gilt-paper edged shelving, and paper lined base with center roulette wheels and shelved sides. The box contains a vast assortment of "prizes" including little bisque figures and dolls, glass dishes, toys, wooden toys, miniature furniture and such, each still tied into the box, along with wooden numbered paddles for playing loterie. Marked "X Paris Marque Depose" on lid. French, circa 1890. Excellent condition of the elaborate luxury toy.
