Description
15"l base (38 cm). Standing upon a tin metal base is a tin lithographed donkey, his master with top hat and red jacket, and a black boy with large red cap. The purpose of the game is stated on the box lid: "Hit the bull's eye and I will kick". When the metal toy rifle with cork bullet hits the center dot of the donkey the figures are activated in an amusing manner. Marked "Donkey Shooting Game No.101 U.S. Pat No. 1832711,Ferdinand Strauss, New York". Excellent condition, original box and rifle included. American, Strauss, circa 1920s.
