22" (56 cm.) All-cloth doll with stiffened oil-painted facial features and brown hair in short curly fashion, painted large brown eyes with curly upper lashes, fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body with oil-painted hands and painted blue shoes, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (faint markings on torso and No.2). Comments: Ella Smith, her Alabama Baby, circa 1910. Value Points: well-modeled features on the fine larger size with well-preserved original finish, especially fine details of shaded hair color.
