Description
9" (23 cm). Tin lithographed dimensional caricature figure of black man with painted costume, "O" shaped mouth, hinged arms, jointed head and waist, with attached chicken in right hand and attached bulldog at back. When wound, he totters from side to side, head shakes, and dog appears to be biting him. Marked "Hey Hey the Chicken Snatcher, Trademark, Louis Marx...". Excellent condition, with original box having illustrations of the toy in farmyard scenes. American, Marx, circa 1930.
