Description
16" (40 cm). Pressed bisque socket head, large brown glass enamel inset eyes, delicately painted lashes and brows, rose blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, separately modeled pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, antique cotton dress and pinafore. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: C EJ. Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882. Value Points: early model bebe has beautiful pale bisque with luminous brown eyes, original body and body finish.
