Description
16"l (40 cm). Standing upon a four wheeled wooden platform is a bisque-headed doll with glass eyes, open mouth, brunette mohair wig, marked "France Limoges 1",wearing original silk costume meant to represent the Brittany country region. She is standing behind three flannel covered geese with decorative coats and ribbons. When pulled along the woman turns head from side to side, waves arms, and the geese turn back and forth as though running away. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1890. Value Points: wonderfully amusing pull-toy in perfectly preserved original condition.
