Description
8"l (20 cm). Tin lithographed open-top car is being driven by antic-smiling man with painted costume and red cap on bald head; the car is painted black with graffiti jokes overall, has red tin steamer trunk attached to the back with travel stickers from Paris, Hick Side and other places, tin wheels labeled "The Ride m' rough Tire Company". When wound, the car bumps along in an amusing manner and the man turns his head briskly from side to side. Marked "Joy-Rider" and "Louis Marx Co. NY USA Patent Pending". Excellent condition. Circa 1925.
