Description

14" (35 cm). Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, carton torso with clockwork mechanism, composition arms jointed at the wrists, hinged thighs and one-piece shapely legs. When key wound at side, the doll slowly walks by lifting up alternate feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1078 Germany Simon & Halbig S&H 4. (doll) R.D. (key). Comments: Roullet et Decamps, circa 1900. Value Points: the sweet little walking girl is virtually unplayed with, wears factory original pale green silk and lace costume with matching cap, and black silk banner "Give me your hand and I'll walk".
