Description
8" (20 cm). One piece all bisque head, torso and legs, jointed bisque arms, painted blonde hair with topknot, forelock and side curls, painted blue side-glancing googly eyes, fringed upper lashes, white eyedots, dash brows, button nose, thin line smile, modeled blue wings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: O'Neill (feet) (also original paper label on torso). Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1912. Value Points: the larger German all bisque Kewpie has fine decoration, wears antique lace wedding gown and veil, carries wax orange blossom bouquet.
