Description
8 1/2"l (22 cm). Cast iron bank comprising a large nest from which is peeking out a small boar head and upon which is perched an eagle with two glass eyes and two baby eaglets. When coin inserted and lever released, four motions occur: the eagle bends forward, her wings flap, the eaglets arise and their mouths open to receive food. Signed "Pat Jan 23 1883" on bank and "Pat. Feb 2,1875" on coin lid. Excellent condition. J&E Stevens, circa 1885.
