21" (53 cm.) All-cloth doll with firmly pressed and oil painted facial features, rosy complexion, blonde short curly hair with impasto style painting, blue eyes, black painted upper eye liner and curly lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth, weighted body with oil painted finish to simulate actual weight of baby, nicely costumed in antique romper suit, undergarments, stockings, cream kidskin shoes, woven hat. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Chase Hospital Doll Trademark Pawtucket R.I. (and Dutch girl logo on body). Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1910. Value Points: beautiful complexion achieved by artistic painting is all original and pristine.
