4 1/2"¤10" (11¤25 cm). Ten arrangements on faux- wood pressed paper bases under blown glass domes represent various children or other personages in pastoral scenes, each figure made of cast wax with painted face features, hair and costumes, alongside cast wax accessories such as lamb, flowers and such, and posed under a bower of silk flowers. The domes vary in shape and size including an unusual four-sided dome with peaked roof. Excellent condition. The very rare 19th century arrangements were often used as mementos or romantic gifts especially on Valentine's Day.
