Description
18" (46 cm). Pale bisque swivel head on kid- edged bisque shoulder plate, small cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French all-wooden fully articulated body with dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, and pivot-jointing at waist and thighs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: circa 1865,the body was based upon the 1865 patent of Albert and Marie Anqueulle for "a mannequin style doll with special joints". Value Points: rare wooden bodied lady doll with deluxe articulation, beautiful pale bisque.
