Description
22" (56 cm). Paper mache shoulder head with sculpted short hair having deeply waved curls at the forehead, almond shaped black glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in pert smile, muslin stitch-jointed body, wooden lower arms. Condition: generally excellent, some paint fading on cheeks. Comments: circa 1865. Value Points: rarity factors include glass eyes, unusual hair style, original body and detailed multi-layer original costume with wonderful bonnet.
