18" (46 cm). Bisque socket head with ebony black complexion, dark brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, black thick stroke brows, pronounced accent dots at eye corners and nostrils, open mouth with coral-shaded lips, row of teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy wig, Sonneberg black composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4. Comments: made in the Sonneberg region of Germany, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful lustrous complexion and highly characterized features, original body, well-detailed antique costume.
