Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with head tilted haughtily upward, slender face, elongated throat, blue glass sleep eyes, heavily modeled eyelids, dark upper eyeliner, painted lower lashes, brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips,blonde mohair upswept hair over plaster pate, kid lady body with slender shaped torso, pin- jointed limbs, bisque forearms, well costumed in Edwardian blouse with leg 'o mutton sleeves, black taffeta skirt, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, one finger restored. Marks: 172 7. Comments: Kestner, circa 1900,the Gibson Girl fashionable society lady doll was modeled after drawings by American illustrator, Charles Dana Gibson. Value Points: sought after fashion doll of the turn of the 20th century, with known artist designation, original distinctive body, choice bisque.
