Description
11" (28 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, sculpted brown hair with deeply-incised combmarks waved from face into coiled chignons, enamel eyes, slightly smiling expression, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and black shoes with red buckles, costumed, displayed along with wooden carpet loom. Excellent condition, costume slightly dusty, apron silk frail. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
