Description

20" (51 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, almond-shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, all wooden fully articulated body with dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, and ball-joint at waist, original kid scalloped-edge collarette. Condition: very faint vertical hairline at right front shoulder plate, ball-waist does not swivel, body finish original albeit scuffed. Marks: G (head) H (shoulder plate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1870,based upon the original patented body and head by that maker. Value Points: rarer large model of the beautiful smiling poupee with fully articulated body.
