Description
9" (23 cm). Bisque socket head with unusually modeled "chipmunk" cheeks, tiny blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and slight brows, open mouth with two lower porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1407 20 Germany. Comments: probably Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1920. Value Points: wonderful wistful character with choicest quality of bisque and expression, original body, original folklore costume.
