Description
11" (28 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, brush stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B. 2 L. (and artist checkmarks). Comments: Emile Jumeau, made under commission for Au Louvre department store in Paris, circa 1890. Value Points: most endearing petite size with distinctive facial modeling, original body and body finish, fine dewy patina of bisque, antique costume includes original undergarments, earrings, shoes and socks.
