Poured wax shoulder head slightly turned to the right, portraying plump-faced child, slightly amber tinted complexion, half-moon shaped glass enamel eyes with tinted eyeliner and brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though slightly open with defined tongue tip, shaded and glazed lips,blonde mohair wig inserted into pate in tiny tendrils, muslin stitch-jointed body with wax arms to above the elbows, wax lower legs and bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, circa 1875. Value Points: exceptional beauty of the wax portrait child wearing lavish antique costume including embroidered silk baby coat.
