26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head, large blue glass sleep eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, fringed brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with full outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, impressed dimples in cheeks and chin, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 12 Heubach Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915, the doll was presented as Dolly Dimple. Value Points: rare model with superb modeling of laughter crinkles around the eyes and impressed dimples, accent dot on center bottom lip, and wonderful antique costume comprising cotton dress, hankie, brooch, argyle stockings, brown leather shoes, and spectacles.
