29" (74 cm). Poured wax shoulder head of plump- faced child with slightly amber tinted wax, half- moon shaped blue glass inset eyes with heavy eyelids, upper eyelid liner, rounded nose with accent dots, closed blushed lips, soft blonde curly hair inserted into pate in tiny tendrils, original softly stuffed cotton body with stitch-jointing at hips and knees, wax arms to above the elbows, wax lower legs and bare feet. Condition: one baby finger broken, right leg a bit misshaped, otherwise excellent. Comments: English, circa 1865. Value Points: very beautiful large child model with most endearing facial expression and painting, original body, original white wool baby gown with rose fringe, undergarments.
