15" (38 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecuts, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid-over-wooden body with dowel articulation at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, bisque arms from below the elbows, separately sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent, reglue on right arm under the costume. Marks: 2. Comments: commissioned from Barrois, circa 1865. Value Points: beautiful poupee with rich eye decoration, rare body style, antique bronze green silk costume with matching silk trimmed bonnet, undergarments, leather boots.
