Description
16" (40 cm). Carved wooden head with flat-cut swivel neck, defined stippling of brown hair framing the face, sculpted facial features and ears, heavily modeled eyelids, arched brows, closed mouth with piquant smile, slender shaped torso with modeled bosom and carved beaded necklace, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, flat-painted shoes, antique day dress. Condition: good, nose finish chipped, left fingers chipped off, original finish albeit scuffed. Comments: Circa 1820. Value Points: rare swivel head variation with sculpted necklace.
