10" (25 cm). Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, brown sculpted hair in short tousled curls with center part, blue glass inset eyes with heavily modeled eyelids, black eyeliner, painted lashes, brown feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs with well-defined fingers and toes, blushed detail of nails, antique costume. Condition: professional restoration at upper torso is virtually imperceptible, otherwise excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1875,the keynote doll became the model for the later wigged all-bisque mignonettes made for the French market. Value Points: extremely rare all bisque doll in large size with exquisite beauty of expression and quality of bisque.
