10" (25 cm). Bisque shoulderhead portraying adult
woman with blonde sculpted hair arranged in
elaborate coiffure with coiled braid at top of
head,double braids at sides of face looping into
braided arrangement at back of head,oval-shaped
face,blue painted eyes,black upper
eyeliner,single stroke brows,closed mouth,carton
torso,kid arms,cone-shaped skirt containing
mechanism,brass feet. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Patented July 15th,1862,also in
Europe 20 December 1862 (base) Charles Henry 22
King St,Manchester (store label). Comments:
Autoperipatetikos,patented by Martin and
Runyon,1862. Value Points: rare bisque model of
the walking doll with elaborate coiffure,silk
costume.
