8" (20 cm). One piece wooden head and torso, painted black hair with swirling curls around the face and decorative "tuck comb" at top of head, tiny facial features centered in middle of face, elongated throat, dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted red flat shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: well preserved early doll wearing original multi- layered folklore costume
