Pink-tinted porcelain swivel head with flat-cut neck socket attached to matching shoulder plate by Rohmer system ending in metal disc on cork pate, plump facial modeling, rich cobalt blue enamel glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, delicately painted lashes and brows, accented eye corners, closed mouth with downcast lips, original kid gusset jointed body, blonde mohair wig over original cork pate. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Leontine Rohmer, circa 1858. Value Points: beautiful rare doll retains its original stringing system for head, has beautiful lustrous complexion, antique costume including (hidden) blue garters with ormolu attachments.
