20" (51 cm.) All composition with brown sleep eyes, real lashes, dark eyeshadow, uniquely painted side lashes and brushstroked brows, red lips of closed mouth, brunette mohair wig in elaborate original coiffure, five-piece body. Wearing ivory/silver long gown with fitted bosom which opens in robe-like fashion at the front, trimmed with double rows of black lace, magenta silk ribbons, and ruffled gilt-accented lace cuffs, cutwork-edged petticoat and pantalets, stockings, black shoes with double ankle straps, elaborate woven bonnet with turned-up side trimmed with an extravagant cluster of pink and red roses and leaves, with satin streamers and black tulle veil, pearl earrings, black lace fingerless gloves, black bead necklace. The undergarments are tagged "Madame Alexander". Near mint condition. Alexander, Renoir from her extraordinary portrait series of 1946, the rare doll, composition, coiffure and costume are preserved impeccably, with cloverleaf wrist tag. This is the only known Renoir model with extended facial netting.
