Pressed bisque socket head, large blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, brush stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, separately applied pierced ears, blonde human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose- ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed in brown silk dress with woven velvet ribbon banding, bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes with silk rosettes signed L.I. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish albeit a bit worn at joints. Marks: 7 EJ (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, the earliest period of the EJ model. Value Points: very beautiful bebe with lovely complexion and beautifully painted features. Circa 1882.
