10" (25 cm). Crudely shaped brown pottery shoulder head with sculpted bonnet, simplistically defined and outlined facial features, simple kid body with mitten hands, stitch jointing at shoulders and hips, original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,mid-19th century, Bennington Potteries of Vermont, the dolls were a sideline of the firm and produced in simplistic form. Value Points: very rare to find American doll with particular charm.
