12" (30 cm). Carved wooden doll with swivel head, painted over sculpted gesso facial features and hair, blonde combmarked hair, green eyes, white eyedots, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, one piece shaped torso with slender waist, wooden limbs with dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, metal hands and feet, painted blue heeled boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Jointed Doll Co. of North Springfield, Vermont, circa 1875. Value Points: nicely preserved condition of the New England doll.
