17"h. (43 cm) armoire. The four piece ensemble of fine walnut with fruitwood inlays comprises armoire with mirrored front door and single drawer, having carved crest ornament, with lock and key; six drawer matching chest with locks and key; bed with carved crest on headboard and original mattress and pillows (also blue silk bed covers),and dressing table with hinged top that opens to mirror and compartments. French, circa 1860,the quality of the set suggests its original presentation in luxury store such as Maison Giroux or Au Paradis des Enfants. Excellent condition.
